H2s Gas Detector & Hydrogen Sulfide Gas Detection Systems

Hydrogen Sulfide, or h2s, is an extremely toxic and hazardous gas. It is transparent and gives off an odor of spoiled eggs. It is highly explosive and prolonged exposure to the gas can be deadly. If hydrogen sulfide is released into an environment, early detection of the chemical compound is critical. The exposure limit for hydrogen sulfide set by OSHA is 20 parts per million. Hydrogen sulfide is often found in manufacturing factories, refineries, gas processing facilities.

PemTech carries an entire line of gas detection products and sensors specifically designed to detect hydrogen sulfide and other gases. Our PT605 Series Hydrogen Sulfide gas detector comes with an LCD display and push button switches on the front panel so it is easy to use. It also comes with 3 programmable alarm relays.

Gas Detector Model

PEL – A Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) is the maximum amount or concentration of a chemical that a worker may be exposed to under OSHA regulations.

STEL – A Short-Term Exposure Limit (STEL) is the acceptable average exposure over a short period of time, usually 15 minutes as long as the time-weighted average is not exceeded. STEL is a term used in occupational health, industrial hygiene and toxicology.
TWATime Weighted Averages are an average value of exposure over the course of an 8 hour work shift.
