PemTech has been selling CO2 gas detectors for decades and is here to help with any questions you may have. Carbon Dioxide , or CO2, is colorless and odorless gas compound composed of one carbon atom and two oxygen atoms. Carbon dioxide is incombustible and naturally occurs in Earth’s atmosphere, but is toxic at high levels. Higher concentrations of the substance may be present at gas processing facilities and chemical plants. Carbon dioxide is heavier than air and has a PEL of 5000 ppm, which is the maximum amount that a worker may be exposed to according to OSHA regulations. PemTech’s PT605 series combustible gas detector and Carbon Dioxide gas analyzer is designed to continuously measure carbon dioxide in process gas streams.
